AI weed identifier for lawn, garden and wild plant photos
Weed Identifier by Photo is a lightweight AI web app for identifying common lawn, garden, driveway, field, and landscape weeds from an uploaded photo or a camera shot. It is designed for quick visual help when a user wants to know what plant they are seeing and what practical next steps may be appropriate.
How the weed photo identifier works
Upload a clear image or take a photo with the device camera, then add optional context such as where the plant was found, its size, and the kind of advice you need. The app sends the image and context to the configured server-side AI API and returns an editable identification report.
What improves the result?
- Clear close-up: include leaves, stems, flowers, seed heads, or growth habit when possible.
- Good lighting: avoid heavy blur, shadows, and extreme zoom.
- Useful context: lawn, garden bed, sidewalk crack, crop area, planter, or roadside.
- Location details: country, region, climate, or season can help narrow similar species.
Free web preview and Google Play placeholder
The current website version includes a small free preview limit. After the free generations are used, the app shows a Google Play call-to-action that currently links to the developer page as a placeholder until a dedicated app listing or website subscription is added.
Important safety note
Plant identification from a photo is not perfect. Do not eat, touch, treat pets with, burn, spray, or remove an unknown plant based only on AI output. Always verify important identifications with a local extension office, horticulture expert, or other qualified source, and follow local rules and product labels for any weed-control method.
