AI Letter of Recommendation, also known as AI Recommendation Letter Generator, is an AI-powered writing tool that helps users create editable first drafts of recommendation letters for jobs, internships, college admissions, scholarships, graduate school applications, and general professional references.
This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use the web version or Android version of the application.
Information you provide
When you use the generator, you may enter details such as the name of the person being recommended, their target role or program, your relationship to that person, skills, achievements, reasons for the recommendation, your name, your title, language preference, letter type, and tone.
This information is used only to generate the recommendation letter draft requested by you. You should not enter sensitive personal information, private documents, financial information, health information, government identification numbers, passwords, or any other confidential data that is not necessary for creating the letter.
AI processing
The application sends the details you enter to the configured AI API in order to generate a recommendation letter draft. The OpenAI API key is stored only on the server side and is not included inside the Android application.
AI-generated content may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying the final letter before using or sending it.
Generated content
The generated letter is displayed to you so that you can edit, copy, save, or share it. The application is designed to create a draft, not a final legal or official document.
You should not use the application to create false, misleading, discriminatory, harmful, or fraudulent recommendation letters.
Usage limits and subscriptions
The web version may provide a limited number of free generations. After the free limit is reached, the application may show a Google Play upgrade option.
The Android version may offer paid subscriptions through Google Play Billing. Subscription purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment processing are handled by Google Play according to Google Play’s own terms and policies.
When a subscription is purchased, the Android application may send purchase-related information such as the product ID, purchase token, package name, platform, and app version to the server to verify subscription status and apply the correct usage limits.
Information stored on your device
The application may store limited technical information on your device, such as free generation count, subscription status, purchase token, app settings, or cached interface data. This helps the application remember your usage state and provide access to subscription features.
Server logs and technical data
Like most web services, the server may automatically process basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, request time, error logs, and API usage data. This information is used for security, debugging, abuse prevention, analytics, and service improvement.
Third-party services
The application may use third-party services to provide core functionality, including:
- AI API provider: used to generate recommendation letter drafts from the information you enter.
- Google Play Billing: used to process Android subscription purchases.
- Google Play services: used for app distribution, billing, and related Android platform functionality.
These third-party services may process data according to their own privacy policies and terms.
Payments
We do not directly collect or store your payment card details. Payments for Android subscriptions are processed by Google Play. Any payment information is handled by Google according to Google Play’s payment and privacy policies.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information only when necessary to operate the application, process AI generation requests, verify subscriptions, comply with legal obligations, prevent abuse, or protect the security of the service.
Data retention
We keep technical and usage-related data only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, debug, and improve the application. Generated letter text may be processed temporarily to provide the requested result.
You should keep your own copy of any generated letter you want to use later.
Children’s privacy
The application is not intended for children under 13 years of age. Users should not submit personal information about children unless they have the legal right to do so and the information is necessary for the intended recommendation letter.
User responsibility
You are responsible for the information you enter and for how you use the generated content. Before sending or publishing a recommendation letter, you should review it carefully and make sure it is accurate, appropriate, and based on real information.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the application and its server-side configuration. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
